ABOUT ME
GABRIEL JONES
I am a level 3 qualified personal trainer who specialises in functional movement and flexibility. I have a wealth of experience derived from training callisthenics for the best part of a decade and in my practise I focus on floor work, bar work and rings. Before working as a personal trainer, I studied for a BA in drama and worked as a director and facilitator on a variety of workshops, outreach programs and theatre courses.
I train clients outside of a traditional gym environment and instead utilise the many outdoor gyms and parks available across East London (as well as providing online tuition). My goal is to show clients that fitness is possible anywhere and everywhere regardless of experience or equipment.
WHAT IS BODYWEIGHT TRAINING?
Bodyweight and calisthenics work eschews traditional weight-based training and relies on manipulating the body itself for resistance. This includes more basic well-known exercises such as press-ups and pull-ups, all the way to more advanced gymnastic moves such as front lever and meathook. I can assist with your training whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced gym goer; with strengthening your core to performing your first one armed pull up. Bodyweight training lends itself particularly well to non-traditional fitness and sports such as climbing, parkour and dance.

Online Training
In light of the ongoing pandemic many clients may prefer a virtual personal training experience. I can offer training based around whatever equipment you have to hand so don't worry if you only have a yoga mat available.
